I am sitting in the room waiting for my results from a second mammogram. Dick is in the waiting room. My mom was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer 5 weeks ago. I went in for my mammogram last week. Got a call at work today we need another look. I lost it. Said I cannot wait must be seen today. Now waiting for results. Will let you know

Update- all clear!! That was a horrible 3 hours. I was trying to figure out how to tell our 16 year old. She would have been a mess. Thank you for love and prayers.

Oh, Kathleen.

I'm SO glad you got clear results on your mammogram. I've had that dreaded callback, and it worries the liver out of a person. I'm very sorry to hear about your mom, though. I pray she'll be okay.

It's great to hear your mammo was fine. My heart goes out to you and your Mom on her recent breast cancer diagnosis. Thanks goodness she's very early stage which has a high CURE (I love that word)rate.

Be encouraged.....

So glad that everything is ok. So to hear about your mom. The waiting game can be so hard on anyone emotionally and physically. Good for you.

Kathleen, yes I know how you felt as many on this board know all to well. Same thing happened to me earlier this year. Mammo came back as abnormal multiple lumps not just one but multiple --- EEEK -- then scheduled an ultrasound then another follow up mamo. Came back o.k. feel they are just cysts. I'm considered high risk for breast cancer. 2 of my sisters were diagnosed with breast cancer. One lost her battle in 2006 and one is free and clear 30 years later.

So glad to hear your test came back fine!!!

Hi Kathleen,

I'm so relieved you got an all clear & glad you insisted on not waiting.
So sorry about your mom's diagnosis. That would have just been too much if you'd had to deal with it yourself.
Hang in there and I'll be praying for you and your family.

Hugs to you,
