Are you aware about the different choices in the US?
Not all drugs approved by the FDA are approved here by EMA so l would like to know
which are the choices in the US.

    Kathy thank you for your prompt response, are you sure?
    l thought Cetuximab, is only working with normal Kras!
    Any way if you know any positive experience with Cetuximab and people with mutated kras let me know!

    Right - just a comment on the original title. "Wild-type" KRAS is the non-mutated type rather than the mutated type.

    Erbitux and Vectibix are not effective in mutated KRAS. However, there is some research going on and at least one trial somewhere aimed at seeing if another new drug combined with Erbitux can possibly make it effective in mutated KRAS patients.

    Right - just a comment on the original title. "Wild-type" KRAS is the non-mutated type rather than the mutated type.

    Erbitux and Vectibix are not effective in mutated KRAS. However, there is some research going on and at least one trial somewhere aimed at seeing if another new drug combined with Erbitux can possibly make it effective in mutated KRAS patients.

    Erbitux is used for people with wld type KRAS not the mutated gene

    trials
    There is a bunch of stuff going on with Gemzar and erbitux for folks who would normally be uneffected by erbitux alone. There are some early signs of success.

    Something called "Imprime PGG" added to Erbitux improves
    the response for those with the wild type of KRAS, as per businesswire article on July 5, 2010.....steve
