Well we go monday for his bladder cancer surgery and I got to tell you I am gettin worried. I think because of what I have been throught and I know what the out come could be I am more aware of all the what if's and what not's...I am very positive about all this but it is the VA and they never talk to me only him. The only time I get to talk is when they come out after the operation and explain things...up till then I am kept in the dark. this has been the way it was even before I got cancer. Never bothered me till now and he doesn't say anything acts like it is no big deal. This time I said remember what I have been through so please don't treat me like a mushroom keeping me in the dark and feeding me bull crap. Not this time I will let that doctor have it he will talk to me or know I was there. anyway thanks for letting me vent...will post how things turn out..I told my ONC I was holding off my Xeloda for the weekend cause it makes a bear out of me and didn't want to end up in jail.LOL

I totally understand how you feel.I was very very worried before my husband's surgery, but I didn't forget to pack the things that he may need during his stay in the hospital. Wish all the best to you and your husband.I hope the outcome will be good.Good luck to your husband with his surgery. You are in my prayers.Take care.

and you do deserve to know what's going on as much as your husband;none of my doctors object to my girlfriend being with me or asking questions as we're in this together, like you and your husband (and at times they'd rather ask her how I'm doing than me).....Steve
