AC-T is pretty common in the U.S. In Canada they give us FEC-T which is pretty much the same except with the 5FU added. Are you sure you will have a 75% chance of it recurring??
I would think that your 75% is chance of it not recurring. Don't be scared. Each and everyone of us here has been through it and are standing on the other side. You will too.:)

    I just finished AC chemo.
I just finished AC chemo. You wrote AC-T I don't know what that means. If it's Taxol then I am going into that in 2 weeks for 12 treatments. With the Ac, I would start to feel sick about day 3 after treatment. Make sure you take all the meds for nausea. It was doable.

Hey Skeetshooter! I didn't have chemo, but, wanted to say good luck to you. And, you must mean you have a 75 % chance of it NOT coming back, right?

    I had ACT--adriamycin,
I had ACT--adriamycin, cytoxan, Taxol. I had a rough time with my 4 AC treatments--nausea, dizziness, fatigue, etc. They gave me a medicine in my i.v. that helped with sickness during the infusion and I was prescribed 4 anti-nausea meds that I had to rotate for 5 days and they did help a lot. I did not throw up as long as I ate only applesauce, bananas ad toast for the first 2-3 days. You should also drink a lot of water to help flush the chemicals from your system.

My 4 Taxol treatments were much easier. I had mild bone pain and fatigue for about a week or two after each treatment.

Chemo is different for everyone. They gave me a list of possible side-effects during my chemo class at the hospital and I only wound up having the most common ones but some people do experience others like mouth sores, diahrea, loss of nails, neuropathy etc....

My hair fell out about 2-3 weeks after my first AC treatment.

I hope I am not worrying you, but I know that I would have liked to have had someone to share their experience with me before my treatments.

Chemo is not pleasant, but it was not as bad as I had worried it would be. It is very doable.
Good luck and keep us updated. Eileen
