Hi Friends,
Thanks for your kind messages concerning my situation. As of today, I am going to the Hospice assisted living section - 8 bed section - entering this afternoon to room I paid for last Wednesday or would have lost it by delaying entry.

Had a look just now at
www.plwc.org
People Living with Cancer - website connected with ASCO - American Society of Oncology which many oncologists belong to.

Onco discussed taking 2000 mg of Xeloda - then gave me RX for 3000 per day - go figure!
Did not fill it - will check with Hospice doctor and not start until I am there and not alone in my apartment. All the precautions sound frightening. Nausea/vomiting mentioned as common - onco said: Oh, no - and did not prescribe anti-nausea meds. I do not want to find out if I will have a problem.

Surgeon in same clinic who did my lumpectomy said; Xeloda? a piece of cake.

Sure..... doctors - pffft! When and if they become patients, story will change.

Hope I'll be able to keep in touch - depends on connection of computer at hospice and my health too.

Love to all,
Jean

    Jean,

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I have been gone a lot and have missed a lot of posts. I sure hope that your new oncologist is able to help you and get you back on track. I will keep you in my prayers Jean. I hope you are able to keep us posted.

    Warmly,

    Judie

Oh Jean! I do so hope you get an excellent connection for your computer. I want you to keep in touch girlfriend!
Remember one thing, well two, no three...we love you, God will never forsake you and you are moving into a place called People LIVING With Cancer! Actually, I think I read that wrong, that was a website, BUT living with cancer IS exactly what we are doing.
Keep a positive attitude, juice those veggies (especially tomatoes and broccoli) and keep in touch.
    God bless you lady.
