Paxil
I may have to go back on them at half the dose.

I have heard
My neighbor was prescribed Paxil and took it for several years.
One day she decided she didn't like taking so many meds, so like you she discontinued the Paxil cold turkey.
Not good. She began having problems. Pharmacist told her that she needed to go back on at half dose and get to her primary doc.
Guess Paxil is one of those drugs that can really mess with ya if you donn't come down gently on the dosage.

SSRI
I have been on Zoloft for many years. It is another SSRI. I went off it slowly several different times and felt really wierd and "off". Dropping cold turkey can cause bad side effects! My worse was a "zinging" sound in my head. Kinda like The laser swords in Star Wars!
I went to a Doc and told them I felt "off". She asked if it was "the head thing". Seems to be a common problem.
When I was in the hospital recently they somehow had double my normal Zoloft dose on file and I was out of it enough not to notice that I was given too much. I felt strange all day and slept more than usual. My blood pressure dropped pretty low too! Had to stay an extra day and noticed that the Zoloft was wrong. I got that changed and will definitely make sure that my dosages are correct before I take them!
Hope you feel better!

No. I had to cancel my appointment. I couldn't stay awake today.
Hopefully soon. For now I'm down to 10 mg vs 20. I just cut the pill in half.
I did read that it takes about 10 days for your brain to catch with what you are doing, whether going up or down in dosage. Cold turkey is not recommended.0
