Checking in...

Hi All,

Just want to say that I am thinking of you all. I hope that you are well and warm and healing.

Fran, I do hope that you are feeling less symptoms with your new adjustments in meds. It can be such a tough road. Hang in there.

My hubby and I are getting everything ready for his surgery on Wed. Hopefully he will have an easy recovery. I'll post you after he returns home and is comfy.

I am still very tired, but I think our super warm weather has helped with my mood. Sunshine is a great healing device..

    Good luck to your hubby..
    Hi Lisha,
I'll be thinking good positive thoughts for your hubby on Wednesday. I remember my rotator cuff surgery like it was yesterday. Will he be getting a pain block? That was the weirdest feeling...I was told it would wear off in 12 hours, but it didn't. I think it was 34 hours before the block completely wore off. My sister lives in Livermore California and she calls me every single day bragging about her sunny warm weather. She's mowing her yard and pulling weeds which is so weird to hear, because we don't even think about starting any of that until mid March. Enjoy your sunshine my dear...you deserve it! Let us know how things go on Wednesday. Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Pain block
    Hi Sue,

I don't think he will get a pain block. I too, had one when I had my surgery last spring, and it took a long time to wear off..
I just hope that he won't have to much pain.

It made me smile to read about your sister pullling weeds. I wanted to do that too, but of course it is not possible right now. I even asked my neighbor yesterday to pull my weeds when he finished pulling his. We both had a good laugh at that. I'll just have to live with my weeds awhile longer. We might get a bit of rain this weekend, but it sure does feel like spring around here.

Thinking of you with warm thoughts

    Good luck
And good thoughts to both of you. I hope all goes well and your Husbands recovery is speedy. So jealous of your warm weather. It is currently 11 degrees below zero here with wind chills at minus 25. I think a weed would look beautiful right about now. Mary

    Glad you're back
    Hi Lisha,

Welcome back. You sound so much better, great. I am so glad you are enjoying the super warm weather. Sunshine does lift the spirits. For the last few days the temperature has been about 40 degrees, but cloudy. The cold weather is expected to return this evening. UGH I just hope the snow will stay away from this neck of the woods.

I certainly hope your hubby's surgery goes well, with minimal discomfort. Please post and keep us updated how the surgery went.

    Love Maggie

    Hi Maggie,
Yes, I am feeling better. At least my mood is better. Some days are just hard. I really think that the sun has helped. I seem to be so up and so down so much. I really prefer being up..
I hope you stay warm with no snow.

    Ducks
    Hi John,
So true about the ducks on the pond. I do feel like I'm paddling real fast just to stay afloat. At least I am not drowning. LOL. Some days are just a lot harder. I just hope that those days are far and few, if you know what I mean. I'll let you and all the group know how hubby does. Hopefully he will sail through without any problems. Me, I always seem to have some sort of complication. It is what it is...
Take care and keep yourself rested.
