UPCOMING SURGERY

Well thought I would let you all know of my upcoming surgery. On Friday the 18th I will be in surgery to have my inplant secured as it tends to slide towards my underarm. My surgeon will also be reshaping to make it a bit more natural, create the nipple with a skin graft to be taken from under my upper leg and the scar will be totally reopened to create a scar much less defined as I tend to scar easily. The entire procedure should take 3 hours, your positive thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated as surgery always scares the tar out of me.

    You've got my thoughts and prayers
    I hope everything goes well and that you leave enough space in your hospital room for all of us to be there with you. :-)

    I understand that surgery scares you (I don't know anyone who looks forward to it) but you are strong and will come through just fine. Remember to take your pain meds before you start to feel much pain.

    Good luck Re, I hope you have a good result. I just had mine redone because the scar tissue from rads had flattened it so much. It's better now and I'm sure your's will be lovely!

    positive thoughts are with you for your surgery to be a success!!! I used to post on here when I was going through my cancer but haven't visited the board for about a year now. Glad to see you are still here and going strong. I always enjoyed your heartfelt posts.

    RE, I will be sending positive thoughts for a successful surgery. I will also be interested to hear how it all goes because I am at the stage of nipples but am not sure what I will do, tatoos or surgery like you. Make sure the OR is large enough for all your sisters to fit in with you. (((Hugs)))

    Surgery scares the crap out of me, too, dear RE.

    On the 18th - will keep you close within prayers & hopeful thoughts. For all to go very well, with speedy recovery.

    Just knowing my pink sister's have me in their corner will make it that much easier. Last night at bowling I got a visit from one of our old team mates who had to stop bowling, she is the head of the surgery center I will be going to. She was happy to know the date and has promised to make sure to be there for me so that too brings comfort. You are all an awesome group of ladies and I am honored to know each of you!

    You will be in my prayers. So they are "going to straighten you out". LOL Seriously I hope all goes smoothly and with satisfactory results. Nice that your have one of your old teammates that will be there for you. Post as soon as you feel able and let us know how it went. So it's "anchors" away.

    I don't care how many surgeries you have, it never gets eadier. But just take a deep breath, know that you will be watched over and before you know it...it'll feel like you just closed your eyes for a second.
