its really frustrating we don't now what is the next step from after been diagnosed with this disease , its worth mentioning he is a healthy , strong self esteem person , never said that he is n pain.
we are trying to build his new life now , we don't know where to start , food... habit.. sport.. chemo..etc.
1-anybody knows , what kind of food is good for him and what is not?
2-would chemo help a stage IV cancer , ( we don't know if has been spread to the liver or not yet , all we now is that the tumor itself did a intestine obstruction that we had to bypass the tumor so he can eat , we could not take the tumor out ).
3- would he be in pain.
3- would his life be different .
if anyone can help we would greatly appreciate it, we are passing through a rough time an dwe need the most information and advices available , thank you .

    Hello Sisa and welcome to our discussion board. I was a caregiver for my dad. He passed in March from esophageal cancer with mets to the liver. The ec tumor was just above his stomach. These are the questions you need to be asking his ongologist. Usually the treatment plan is chemo/radiation to shrink the tumor, then surgery to remove tumor. As far as nutrition is concerned, there should be someone at the hospital/cancer center that can answer those questions. If you are not satisfied with his dx, drs, surgeons, etc. you should always seek a second opinion. Hope this helps. Keep in touch.
