Myself & a fellow PCa survivor at work have started a small group of cancer support group, call ourselves CSG (how original).
We are there for all, and we are also running a relay for life fund raising team, TEAM AVIATION to help ACS make a difference.
For those that maybe interested, here is a link, and I urge all of us to spread the word and increase awareness. I should add, this is Michigan, near the city of Grand Rapids.
I have participated since 1999, the summer after my lung surgery. I recall the first year there fella's, I had to walk 1/4 mile around the school track. I was bound & determined to carry my 3-4 month old daughter around that track. I honestly didnt think that I could make it the entire way, I was exhausted, still no stamina from the surgery.I saw an old lady barely making it around, and thought that if SHE could make it, then I could too. I am happy to say I made it, it was a task though.

Congratulations
Glad to have you in the Relay for Life. Thanks for taking part in that. Last year, to mark my first year of being cancer-free, I took part in the Survivors Lap at my local Relay for Life. This year, though I have suffered a recurrence,I too have a team in my local Relay. I expect to be through with IMRT in time to participate in the all-nighter. If anyone will be in or near Canandaigua, NY on June 11 and wants to join the team, let me know.0
