I posted this under the thyroid board also but thought I would share here. I found the stupid cancer.com website (which others have posted) which led me to the OMG Cancer Summit.
The OMG! Cancer Summit for Young Adults is a major international oncology conference and social networking event for young adults (15-39) affected by all cancers, as well as for their caregivers and providers. http://omgsummit.org/2011/
The summit is organized by i[2]y I’m too young for this! Cancer foundation, stupidcancer.com.
There is NO COST for the summit
Workshops include:
Survivorship & Late Effects
Patient Navigation
Families & Parenting
Young and Single with Cancer
Nutrition and Wellness
Employment, Legal & Insurance
Creative Writing Workshop
Let me know what you all think, if anyone might be interested. We can always meet up once we get there. I think it would be fabulous to meet fellow survivors.

I went last year
I went to this last year and I have registered for this year as well. It is an awesome event! I became heavily involved in the organization after attending last years event. I recently started the organization's San Diego chapter. It is really a great to meet the other young adult survivors, chat, trade war stories and share battle scars. This year it's two days and in the evening of day 1 you can join the group on a cruise around Manhattan. I'm very excited about going again.0
