Old Man Winter Is Here~~
So...I'm catching up on my household to-do lists and gazing out the window. Sure is pretty! Have yet to see a vehicle drive thru our subdivision, an indication it's really bad.
If we have to be hit with this wild weather, best to be "snug in a bug" inside our homes.
Let it snow....

Jan, I live in the Kansas City area so we are a bit ahead of you on the storm. We didn't get much ice so that helps, although the snow has been coming down hard all day and the winds are picking up. From what I hear, it will be worse in St. Louis than in KC.. We are on the South side of the city, so are expecting more than the official reading at the airport! We are expecting 12 inches.
It is very pretty to look at....glad I am not having to be out in it! A good day to have the fireplace going and all snuggled up with a good book!
Stay warm and safe!

Had no clue you live in KC area. They're telling us the winds will start later today and cause tree limbs to fall and possibly affect power lines. Have my candles, flashlights and lots of blankets all ready.
I get a kick our of my daughter who complains, thinking we're running out of food. No Brittany we'll survive and no way to even get to the store...too much ice! Guess that's why we're the adults hum?
Thanks Karen~0 -

I didn't know either of you were from MO. My Mom and all family are here in St. Charles, MO. Howdy neighbors. Mom was scheduled to go to her gyn/onc for her CT results this past Tuesday and, of course, the appointment was rescheduled for Friday. She has been waiting now 2 weeks (two anxiety filled weeks) for these results and was bummed when we heard about the storm and when it was supposed to hit. We are all waiting for the results and can say the delay sucks to say the least but what can we do, we cannot control Mother Nature. But, I am tired, tired, tired of winter. I work for the hospital here in town and was one of three in our department that made it Tuesday and Wednesday and was there 12+ hours each day and my brother-in-law picked me up in his 4 wheel drive. I wish I could have been as "snug as a bug in a rug". Hope you are both doing well.0 -

Hello,
I am from the Mid-Atlantic region and we are crying "enough already" here along the I 95 corridor. Been hit by storm after storm after storm since December. Some of them aren't large, just enough to cause travel problems, but we've been averaging 2 week, one in the middle of the week and one on the weekend. Haven't seen the ground since December! Just white! Now white with a layer of ice over it! I have been fortunate so far that all my appointments have occurred on non-storm days but now I see the long range forecast for next week I may have to deal with a storm on the first chemo day! And good news, on Groundhog Day Punxsutawney Phil here in Pennsylvania predicted an early spring! Lets all hope he is correct!

Yes I'm in Ballwin, MO -- Does your mom go to a large hospital for her docs or some local med offices? My oncologist is off 40 & Mason where I had my chemo and I had my radiation at St Lukes Hospital.
I'll have to revisit your prior posts to find out about your mom's issues. Hope she gets to the doc this week or the saga of anxiety will continue.
Wish you well...
