With or without a wig, you'd look beautiful just because of that beautiful smile of yours, most contagious.

PS, the wigs look natural on you, very, very nice.0 -
Yet Another Look!! LOL!
This newest picture is hot off the camera... taken last night!! It was a super big night for me and I wasn't even aware it was going to be so! It was the 2010 Ovation Awards, which is an annual awards ceremony celebrating achievement in Musical Theatre in Vancouver (and surrounding municipalities). There were 57 musical theatre productions produced in Vancouver in 2010.... and I was awarded the most incredible honour by the whole musical theatre community (Professional and Community Theatre alike). Best Behind the Scenes Achievement award ... which is not given out every year and only bestowed on an individual whose love and support is recognized by the whole theatre community.
It was one of those events where I was actually speechless... to stand up to receive the award and have the whole room get to their feet with a standing ovation and applause that wouldn't stop. Hahaha... had I KNOWN, I would have made sure my hair was at least cut and styled before going to the ceremony . What you see is my own hair now... and is long overdue for a cut/trim/style... but am holding off to see if I really need to have it done or if it does its own thing with the chemo

Had I known this was going to happen.... I would have given you all a heads up!! LOL!!
PS: I have added both pictures of my new looks/wigs on my Expressions page. The blonde wig is not exactly how it is going to look because it is being styled as we speak (will have some bangs that it doesn't currently have).
For those who are new to the forum but want to take a look... just click on my name under my picture... then when it takes you to my profile, somewhere will be a link to my "Expressions" page... just click on that

look great. they are very natural looking. i also bought an auburn and a blonde wig. i used to wear the auburn one until i got my new license and saw the pic. i have never worn the blonde wig. i dislike them. so i bought some hats. they don't look natural. i was advised to make an appt with a shop which specialized with cancer patients and sold only full hand woven caps but no, i was too worn out from chemo and had to go and buy from a place where you didn't need an appt and got the machine made cap. i think that is the difference. your's are really are pretty. i looked at your expressions page.0 -

Hi Tesslee,
Yes, I think you are right... there's a big difference between wigs bought in a retail store and those bought by a shop that specializes in hair loss and/or cancer patients. The ones who specialize build hand woven caps where the hair falls in a natural way (the wig itself is either human hair or a combination of human hair and fibre). Both wigs that I am buying that are in the pictures are at the shop because they now have to hand weave them so they custom fit my head measurements. This will make all the difference in the world for fit... as for the wig hair looking natural, that is because of what it's made of.
I figured it's worth the extra expense because I want to be comfortable when I wear them and I want them to look decent. If they didn't, or they looked too "wiggy", I know I wouldn't end up wearing them... and then I'd be miserable that I had two wigs but I couldn't wear them.
But you bring up a very good point for those who are thinking of possibly buying a wig. Obviously everyone is in a different financial bracket, so cost may be a factor.... on the other hand, aren't we worth it??
