UPDATE SKIPPER: Thank You All

Hi Skipper,
Suppose you read about Penny's hubby Mike passing. I feel so bad for her. Too bad we can't all be together to support each other. How are you doing? I had my last appointment with my counselor thursday cause I was doing good. Now I got a call this morning that my brother was taken to the hospital this morning. They think he might have had a seizure but are still doing tests. They live 2 hours from me and I'm going nuts cause I'm not there with them. Please don't let this be another year like 2010. Don't know who ever said these are the Golden Years, cause haven't had anything good happen !!!

How's your brother doing? Hope everything is okay. 2010 was a horrible year (my sister died 12/20) and starting 2011 with the passing of my husband (1/06)is worse. HOWEVER, I am going to try to look toward the future. That's what my husband would have wanted. He wouldn't want me all depressed and crying all the time. Of course, it's hard not to be that way. I guess I'm still in the shock and denial stage of grief. I just can't believe that's it - he's gone and he's not coming back. It's so final.

Things are okay
Hi Skipper,
Thanks for asking about my brother. He's going in for a brain scan this week. They have him on seizure meds and he can't drive for 3 months which is killing him. Still doesn't feel 100% and will be glad when they find out what caused the seizure.
I try to keep busy but today I was cleaning out a drawer that Tom had stuff in from when he traveled for work. Found some pictures from Italy where he was in 92. He looked so good and made me cry when I looked at them. I still can't believe it's going to be a year in March since I lost him.
How are you doing? I forgot if you're working?? I never had to work, so was lucky I guess.
Guess we just have to face that our lives have totally changed and we have to move on. I can't believe the things I've had to do that I never did before. Hey, even fixed the flap in the toilet tank so it wouldn't keep running. Funny huh? And looks like tomorrow I'll get to look like a "snow bunny" again cause we're supposed to get a little and I still get full of it when I use my little snowblower. We have a 70ft. long driveway and there was no way I could handle the big one we have.
