Just whistle a happy tune
I know some of you think that you can’t be positive all the time. It takes practice to keep your focus on the positive note. Practice that is very rewarding for you and everyone around you. It is clearly your choice.
Hell I even get down. The difference is I will not allow myself to fall into that damn pit of despair that I see too many do here. I just whistle a happy tune and move on. My docs and nurses like that and always go the extra mile for me. Think about it. Would you want to work on/with someone filled with gloom and doom or someone that has an upbeat attitude?
I’m telling you the damn grim reaper lives in that pit. So when you fall into that damn pit, slap that little SOB up the side of his head and get the hell out of there.
Don’t get me wrong we all need to vent. This is me venting. This post is also what happens when you put an old guy on steroids.

I'm whistling now as I read this post.

You have a great attitude. I
You have a great attitude. I love your previous post about smiling or being extra nice to the doctors might shake them up (something to that effect). Great attitude. I pray to God every night and ask Him to help me use my gifts that He has given me to help other people, and I try to be positive, productive and grateful. I find it the most difficult at my husband's oncologist's office.

Bravo!
Kerry,
There are people who charge a large sum of money for your advise. Since I can't whistle I sing, loud and off key, but who cares! My 1 year old grandson loves to music so I sing and we dance, now who can be down when you are singing and dancing with a 1 year old.
(Just sayin')

Another thought....
To really shake people up, smile. It makes them wonder what you are up to!!!!
I agree, Kerry...I always said my 'pleases' and 'thank yous' to my team...even the day I couldn't make it on my own down the hall to rads, and had to sit in a wheelchair. I remember sitting there, trying hard not to make a sound in the back waiting room while I cried. One of the rads techs came over, knelt down, and put her arms around me...I will always remember that hug!

Absolutely fantastic
Kerry,
But can you smile and whistle at the same time ?
I like these happy posts.
The world is really wonderful.
Its just a shame we have to fight so hard to stay on it.
thanks,

I can't whistle so I hum
It is amazing how much our attitudes affect others. People I work with are just amazed that I have such a pleasnat attitude toward people and life and work.
I try to hum a song along with the radio on my way to work. I have heard humming can have health benefits too, so I just hum my way to work and usually seem to have a good day.
