Chemo Starts again
My CT Scan came back nothing showing up on liver or lungs!!! We were worried about the lung situation, it's looking good!!!
So working on getting rid of any possible cancer cells that may be hanging around he said.
CEA is down to 4.2, which is great for a smoker, as normal can be as high as 5 and still be normal for smoker (okay, I'm a former smoker now, but just recently) my last CEA was 7.8 and I hadn't had chemo since it was 7.8, so the 4.2 is after the surgeries and not due to any chemo. Hurray!!!
Mop up chemo time, CT Scan again in three months.

Winter Marie,
It all sounds great! You are doing amazingly well; I can't believe all you have been doing - travelling chores, etc.
I know, even my Aunt told me, she wouldn't have believed I had cancer if she hadn't of been here herself during my hospital stay back in February of last year.
I mean, here I am 4 weeks and 5 days later and I was running up the post office steps this morning, going down numerous steps this afternoon and back up them to get my student ID for college that I start on the 7th of February (one day after my one year diagnosis)picking up and holding my 22 pound 7 month old grandson, cooking tri-tip dinner, doing the dishes, scrubbing the kitchen floor (all in one day) plus numerous other things today.
I'm one lucky woman, very lucky, very fortunate, and I realize that and am grateful for it.

I am so getting better everyday, I almost feel 100 percent, as soon as the last little "scabs" are off of my new scar on my belly are gone, I think I'll feel 100 percent to be sure. Hoping someone has an idea as to keep this newest scar soft.
