Just back from rads got good news!!!!!

I called ahead and made a appointment with my new rads Dr, before radiation today. We had a long talk. I told her all my problems and concerns. She reviewed the first Dr orders
( remember the idiot ) and changed things for me. I originally was having 28 rads and 5 boosters with bolases which means your skin gets 100% instead of 70 as with out bolases. So she took the bolases away and is turning it down. She also is not going to do the boosters because I had a clean pathology ofter surgery I don't need boosters. Plus she is taking two rads off because I will be at 46 grey by Saturday that will be my last one I will be DONE!!
If I had don't the first Dr regime I would not have been done until Feb 10Th. I am so happy Thank you all for listing to me rant and helping me along. You guys are the best ever!!!!!
Oh and one more thing I lost 12lbs without even trying Ha ha!!!! I just have to get through this week and I'm done done done!!!! I don't know what I would do without you all Thank you again, Kay,

    I agree with Sher43009 --- so glad you made the
    decision to change doctors ---, amazing, isn't it -- a differnce in opinions. Options -- makes the world go around -- so glad we have them.

    Alright Kay, Way to go!!! I'm so excited for you. What a happy ending to the sorry week that you had last week. God is so good and I'm thankful that he answered our prayers.

    Yes!!! this Dr is wonderful!!!! I am so glad I got her and she even told me she will come in on Saturday for my last treatment to make sure I am OK... This is what I think a great Dr is. The other on can go suck rotten eggs LOL. I 'm still in allot of pain but at least I know that it will end and it is close. Thank you Lord... Take care every one Kay

    Kay so happy you got it worked out. There are some great doctors out there and I thank God you found 'yours". It takes a while but it does get better. I'm still a bit tender, but much better now. You will soon be saying the same.

    Kay, that is awesome news!! I'm so glad that you didn't settle for the recommendation of the idiot doctor and listened to your inner self and demanded attention. Finished by this week, that's even better news. Take care of yourself and I'll be thinking of you and wishing for a completion and your initiation into the RADs GRAD CLUB!! We'll be waiting with open arms.

    I'm so happy that your new radiologist is ending treatments soon. Knowing that will make it easier to get through the next week. Keep slathering your skin and I hope it heals soon. Thanks for the update.
