Good scope.
Well that's good. Sounds like a decent check up as well. I still feel exhausted also. This lack of sleep at night is killing me. I am sorry you are still having problems with the mucous and the cold weather. I know that when my asthma was very bad, the cold weather was brutal. It's like freezing here, was -10 last night. It's a balmy 13 now. I'm not going anywhere, even tho I should.
Anyway, please take care of you. Try to get enough sleep. I know it's hard. Hoping for more improvement for you. I know it's slow.0 -
sounds like a positive Dr visit
So glad that you are clean now congrats. The 20# is good news also. You must be eating some. I can believe that you worked through chemo and rads, my husband worked for the first 3 weeks and then he got too sick. Good luck on a speedy recovery. You have been a great help as we have gone through this crap for the last 2 months. Thank You0 -
Spring and Summer...where are you???
Dennis,
Sounds like progress to me. I know you are tired. Your body has been through a long and hard war. No sign of cancer says to me your body will continue to recover and strengthen. Use the winter to pack on some more pounds. When the Spring comes let the fresh air and sunshine rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit.
You have been through it. Stay the course. Bright days are ahead!!!

They Smile
Seems like they always smile when your gain or maintain weight even after many years.
Good to have a clean clean scope. Do the happy dance.
One year is great the second year will be much better, after 18 months you will see the biggest difference.
Rest well.

Hi Dennis, glad to hear some good news from your direction. You still have more than your share to deal with, but clean scope is great, and more rest means more better strength for your body to recoup.
best, Hal
Thanks for the enouragement, Dr. even said i took a little more than others, I had to ask him one more thing, If could try for better, more voice, better breathing etc.... The had news came I was done, have to live what i have left and come to terms, i sat there like a wiennie crying, I know, but for a little more air, or a louder voice, nothing more...Doc was was very nice, and said he'd see me back in 4 months, but you know, It still breaks me up of what I use to be, and can't go back there....Thanks Again Dennis, your special people! You're not a weanie. This is hard stuff to accept. It's not easy to deal with some of these side effects we are left with. It's ok to mourn things we lose, I think. Grieving over it is normal. It helps you get to the acceptance part. Sometimes it takes us a little longer to get to that part. Sometimes we even need professional help to get there.
I think you need to cut yourself a break. You remind me of me a little. You are too hard on yourself. Cut yourself some slack. I wonder if meditation and yoga breathing would be good for you. What about a support group near you?
Hugs,

Cancer sucks and so does the treatment for it, I like you am facing life long problems because of the treatment, and I am not sure what is worse. I am deaf, going blind and having extreme high & low blood pressure and they blame it all of side affects. I am still working everyday because I hide all these problems, but I know the day is coming when I will not be able too. The new normal is not the best but I will put my faith in that God knows what he is doing and say lot Job said, tho he slay me yet will I serve Him.
Take care my friend

Hondo you lead the pack in perseverance, and show us all what can be overcome, and also how to lead others through the storm with an amazing attitude. Dennis, you just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You may not have the life you used to have, no one who has faced this monster does, but you have shown a tenacity to find the next level again and again. Like Sweet said, there is a time to be angry and grieve, and then there is acceptance. In the time I have been on these boards I have seen you overcome such difficulties, to now be in a place where you are getting clean scopes and the next visit in 4 months. With a quieter voice, you may be able to hear more.
Best, always,

You are another one who leads the pack and shows us what can be done, with a superb attitude...and always being real and honest.
People who stay on these boards long after their intial treatment are a tremendous resource to the many others who are looking for some hope.
