Hope!

I thought this article might give hope to those going through dark days:

If you scroll to the bottom you'll find an inspirational lady who was told she had terminal colon cancer in 1963 (she was even given the last rites) and is about to celebrate her 100th birthday (she has beaten cancer five times!).

In February 2007 I had a football-sized tumour removed from my ascending colon and was told I had a 30% chance of living another five years. Here I am, four years on, still in good health although about to have my annual CT scan which always fills me with anxiety (hence return to this board which was such a lifeline after I was diagnosed).

Never give up!

    This article was amazing. I was so happy to hear these stories. I have a friend at chemo she is so devistated. Her colon cancer has mets to her lungs all over. They gave her 3 yr prognosis. She has given up all hope. I try to give her encouragement. Thanks for this article I will pass it on to her. Blessings from Lourdes

    Catherine I wanted to thank you for sharing your story with us. It is the positive stories that we hear that keep us up beat. May we all live to see 100 years old and all beat cancer. I just finished my last chemo 2 weeks ago and am waiting for my CT on Feb 1st to see if I am NED and God willing I will be. I know I am stage 4 but I also know through God all things are possible.

    Hi catherine,

    Wonderful post.

    I agree HOPE is the most important treatment option we can have and its free.

    its not easy to keep our hope, but I pray I'll be smiling each and every day.

    who knows how many days we have ?

    I have faith in our cure.

    I am grateful for my faith in God. weak as it is. But at least I have been exercising my capacity for faith. Now I have to draw on all my faith experience and I have been applying it to my cure.

    I am grateful I have been converted to the positive thinking team.

    Keep hoping and have faith.
