1 Year Anniversary On This Board

One year has past since I joined this board. I joined January 14, 2010 (my birthday). It is amazing how fast time travels. Last year in January, I finished my radiation treatment for the recurrence. I was on a campaign to find sisters who had breast cancer. I found this board in January and the following month I found two breast support groups in my area, both about 40 minutes away from my town. I have gained much knowledge from all my sisters and I have shared that knowledge.

I applaud all of you for your strength courage, humor, and sensitivity. I had one flesh and blood sister who died from lung cancer (13 years ago). I had no other sisters or brothers until I found you. I do feel a strong sisterhood on this board.

I want to send you LOTS OF LOVE and LOTS OF HUGS and may 2011 be a better year for all of us.

    Janelle I am glad you found this board while you were on your search for others who were on a similar path. You are right, we share so much here, much more than just cancer. We share our triumphs, fears, and joys, our happy times and our lowest times. It is most certainly a sister hood and I too am glad that since I have to have cancer that I was led to this board.

    Time does go by so fast.
    I found this site over 6 months ago but wished I had found it during treatments. I just love all the Sisters hear, such love and wisdom and care for one another.

    I agree with what you're saying! I found this board a year ago next month and wish I had found it two years earlier when I was going thru my own drama in the bc wars. I've found so much good info and insights and it's great being able to share whatever and know that everyone understands and knows pretty much where you are coming from. It is a cyber family!

    I was diagnosed on February 10,2010, so it will soon be a year. I did a lot of searching and reading on different sites before settling here. This is a fantastic group of women and men who share and care. Together we've been through many highs and lows, shared both joys and sorrows-not to mention some laughs. Though time does go quickly, I hope we can continue our friendships for a long time to come. God bless us all.

    One year for me too...
    I started chemo Jan 2010 and consider this my anniversary too. This is a great place to pass the time and make friends. I really enjoy just reading about each of you.
