Nope! That was a lie.Hissy_Fitz said:Yep...LaGuardia. The cab
Yep...LaGuardia. The cab ride from JFK is $55 one way, according to the 'net.
The younger, female doctor (forgot her name....Dr Owens???), anyway, she asked me if I worked in the medical field. I told her I just had a lot of time on my hands, 4 computers, and I'm nosy by nature.
Is there really a tax levied against the customer if you pay with a credit card?
Carlene
Here's the link to the official info on taxis and limos in NY:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/passenger/passenger_creditcard.shtml
I didn't know the answer to that one off the top of my head, as I rarely take taxis, but it didn't sound right.
You crack me up (lots of time, 4 computers, nosy by nature)!0 -

Congratulations on being accepted into this trial. After all the effort to get there it must be gratifying to have been accepted. And you missed the big storm that's moving in there today. I love the fact that you are so thorough in your descriptions to us. It's very helpful. Thanks.
Thanks for blazing the trail. We love you!

Anne....that's great news! It looks like we will just miss one another....pooh!
I am scheduled for Feb 1st, 2nd, 9th, and 16th. All my injections will be on a Wednesday, and I think the labs, etc will all the done the day before - on Tuesdays.
It's so encouraging to hear that you have had no treatment in 18 months and are still NED. That is GREAT.
Will you have to go into Manhattan for the trial? I hope we aren't snowbound next week, so I can at least get out and walk around a little bit. I'm such a weenie when it comes to cold weather, though. We are looking at 75 degrees here by 1PM and I am lovin' it.

Hey Carlene - sorry I will miss you for the trail - i will have to go to NYC for the injections but am hoping on the weeks when it will be just blood work that I will be able to do that in NJ - I am working full time and would hate having to use vacation time for this - but hey - whatever has to be done has to be done and I am grateful for a job and the ability to work and also the fact that i have sick and vacation time to use- the bad weather has hit us again this week - although it has really been more rain and slush today and some more "fun" is expceted for the weekend but will pray that you will have clear sailing next week and the groundhog is right with that early spring starting ASAP - so glad you are enjoying the beautiful weather - be at peace and relax - we all have a future and a hope - Please keep me posted - Take care - Annie0 -

Oh Carlene also as a native New Yorker (and a 100% Italian American ) I would recommend the restaurant LaGioconda which is right up the block from Sloan - 53rd between 3rd and 2nd - it is reasonably priced and very sweet and intimate - you will have a good meal - here is the website so you can check out the menu - http://www.lagiocondany.com/ Have Fun Hon!!!!!!0
