Oxygen therapy, does this work?

Has anyone heard of oxygen therapy during chemo. I was researching and read that oxygen therapy helps kill cancer cells. Cancer cells do not thrive will in oxygenated environment. And the other body cells need oxygen.

    According to American Cancer society

    "Overview

    Available scientific evidence does not support claims that putting oxygen-releasing chemicals into a person's body is effective in treating cancer. It may even be dangerous. There have been reports of patient deaths from this method."

    The above is quoted from what the American Cancer Society has to say in part to this Oxygen therapy.
