She's Topless
She started Tamoxifen and has no noticable side affects.
My sister (stage IV lung cancer) is doing well. All tumors got smaller; chemo is affective. Don't know how long that will last, but we're taking any good news and hanging on to it.
Hugs to all after a these last few devistating weeks.

That's great news, Bob. It
That's great news, Bob. It seems like the day will never come for us to ditch the head coverings, but it does and it's SWEET! Thanks for sharing your good news. I will continue to send positive thoughts for your sister.
It has been a trying time on this board but with the encouragement and love of one another, we will all make it. Sending (((Hugs))) right backatcha.0 -

I hope she continues to feel at ease without the wig. Glad to hear your sister is doing well also. Thanks for the update.
hair style -- take courage, boy don't I know it .. but 1 just about feels liberated agt the same time.. No longer do we wear the 'I have breast cancer' stencil across our forehead... we are moths, soon to turn into butterfiles.. Just wait and watch in amazement --!
Bob, we are keeping your sister and his health situation in prayers ..
Strength and Courage,

That;s so good to hear
I'm glad your wife felt comfortable enough to brave toplessness! I really haven't been that myself; however yesterday i got pretty close. It was raining sideways here and I didn't want my wig to get wet so I threw it in my bag grabbed a hat from the back seat and off I went. First time ever at work and you could tell I didn't have any hair underneath. Still i chickened out, so by the start of business the wig was back on. Oh well, I'm a sad case and not that i'm vain or anything I just don't want to answer all the questions.
That's really good news about your sister, hope things can remain like that or even improve! That would truly be lovely.
Thanks for letting me chime in here and congrats to all.
Peace and Love to All,

I went to work without my wig for the first time last week. Felt good. Give Donna a big hug for me.
I'm more self conscious about my hair regrowth than I was about being bald. Maybe in a couple of more months I'll have enough to show the world, but not yet. Glad Donna finally made it so she's fit for public viewing!

thanks for the update on Donna and your sister. I finished chemo in December and my hair is just starting to grow in but it's white! I've been coloring it for more than 20 years so I don't think I'll be going without a hat for a long time.

I thought this was about Bob telling us his wife had a new job as a stripper now. LOL
Seriously, great news that Donna went topless.
And, sending prayers for your sister.

Congratulations to Donna for
Congratulations to Donna for ditching the wig!! I wore mostly scarves and stocking caps when I lost my hair, and Christmas Eve I went topless at my mother in law's house! That's when my profile pic was taken, and now I have a full head of hair! It feels great not to have to worry about covering your head. And now that my eyelashes are back too, i really don't look like a cancer patient any more. I just look like a very confident woman with extremely short hair. I love it!
I'm glad Donna isn't having side effects from Tmoxifen, I'm not either. Good to hear your sister's tumors are getting smaller & that the chemo is doing it's job.
Thanks for the update - good to hear happy news
*hugs*
