Feeling bad and wanting to apologize!
So now here is where I'm at since it's been awhile and I don't talk about my cancer much on FB. I have a PT Scan on Thursday, and guess what I have before my PT Scan, an informative speech Thursday morning I go to class and give my speech while I'm a wreck before every PT Scan for fear of what it might reveal. My cancer is the same as Moopy's was so having all that fresh in my mind makes it even more stressful. Anyhow, one thing at a time, I'll get through my speech, take the ativan they give me for the scan (or should I take the ativan before the speech, that would be fun) and head off to the clinic. Just want to say, I'll let all of you know how it turns out and try to come to these boards more often so I can give my experience, strength and hope to others who may need it. So sorry again for going astray.
Hugs,
Kari
PS. Pinkkari09 used to be kmsmclaughlin I changed it because I got divorced and kmsmclaughlin has my married name in it.

You have nothing to apologize for, Kari
This place is no different from any other. People come and go. Sometimes for no particular reason at all. A couple of sisters are planning to go on hiatus for a while, and you come by to tell us that your hiatus is over. I don't know why you feel the need to apologize, Kari. I think you came back to us just in time. You're exactly right when you said Moopy wants us to lean on each other: what do you think I'm doing HERE this morning? So welcome back and let the mutual leaning begin!
Love,
Joe0 -

Hang in there Aortus and you keep coming back when you need to. Words cannot express my sorrow nor can they provide any comfort at a time like this. Take care of yourself and I shall keep praying for Moopy and all us. May we find strength and comfort from the support of this special group.
Take care,0 -

Glad to see you back but living your life is what it is all about. No need to apologize. Hugs.
I agree with Joe Kari. We all come and go. Life pulls us away and then we feel the need to come back.
Good luck with your scan and your speech!!!
Take care of yourself Joe...that's what Moopy would want most of all. Pat0 -

No Need
No need to appologize. I was on the boards a lot when I was going through my cancer, chemo, and radiation. I had a little more time when I was home sick from the chemo. When I got a little better....my work schedule picked up and my time on the boards became less and less. Then a friend asked me to join FB and then some other friends introduced me to Farmville and then the rest is history. I work during the day and farm at night. So don't feel bad. We all go through it. Just be glad you are back as we are you are back. I am glad to be back.0 -
Good to see you!
And as others have already said, absolutely no need to apologize.
I'll be thinking about you and praying for good results on your scan.

and we do want we can, when we can. Please take care, and let us know how you scan goes. Also, you stated something about your treatment being put on hold, is this something you want to talk about, or perhaps I mis read something.
Strength, Courage and Hope ..

Kari, welcome back!
It's good to see you posting again and I love your new picture.
The BEST thing about this amazing group is that there are no rules. The door is always open and welcoming. We have had some dark days lately and have had to lean on each other. That's the BEST part of this group......the true caring and love for each other.
I am sending strength to you to get through your speech, first, and then the scan. Be sure to let us know how it all goes. Take care, sister!!0 -
Welcome back Kari!
Good to see you again. No need to feel bad, we give when we can. And sometimes
you need to take a break and take care of you first. And cancer and a divorce.. that
certainly needed all your attention.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for your PT scan, keep us posted.

there are other things going on besides your battle with this. Life issues happen every day. Everyone has the freedom to come, take a break or visit when they can. We're all here with open arms.
Let us know how it goes.
God bless,

I was drawn to you when I first found this forum because you have kids, although older than mine. Never apologize. Being here whether looking for advice, giving advice or whatever is what this is all about. Joe is paying it forward, doing his part however that may be.
I really wish you the best. I like my plate full too, sometimes I work better that way. Good luck in all you are doing. Not that this is exactly the same kind of test but I just read an article that students who wrote down their fears prior to a test did far better than those who did not. Vent whenever you need to!0 -
Hi Kari!!
I also come and go and feel bad for doing that, staying off too long. Maybe I feel guilty because things are going well for me physically. I wish you well on your scan. And Joe, my thoughts are with you at this very sad time. How fortunate Lisa was to have such a wonderful man.0 -
