I've also been very
I've also been very interested in this. I asked an oncologist who said it sounds very boutiquey. There probably hasn't been many studies on it and a limited number of people can qualify, but it's been successful If you google hipec and stomach cancer, a lot results show up. It was also featured on the stand up for cancer special.
I also know there is a clinical trial in texas using heated chemo by Dr. Joan Bull, but this is without surgery. The only one is with surgery.

Welcome
hello John
Welcome to this discussion board. I would suggest you get a second opinion. Whenever you are in doubt, go with your gut feeling. Being stage 4 I am guessing surgery is not an option, but what about chemo and radiation treatments? Find a specialist in stomach cancer. Best of luck and keep us up to date.

yes
John, make sure you have an understanding of your diagnosis. Is it Appendiceal cancer? if so then you should get treatment at a center that has experience with it, and you could have very good results.
there is an excellent website out there( http://www.appendix-cancer.com/)
you should check it out.

HIPEC
HIPEC is done along with debulking. This can be very effective, depending on the pathology of your disease. It sounds like you'd be a good candidate for it. I have had this surgery. It's nicknames MOAS - MOther of All Surgeries. Only a handful of doctors do it. You should find one in your area and get at least 2 opinions. Best of luck.0
