I hope they find something that a steak and a brew will help !!!0 -
Newsflash?
Well, the study is sponsored by Fonterra, a global dairy industry and the University of Auckland. It shouldn't be a newsflash to anyone that these types of studies sponsored by the dairy industry will come up with cancer solutions involving dairy products.
Most of us understand the dangers of dairy products vis a vis prostate and breast cancer from the insulin growth factors in dairy milk. Whether or not the special concoction they're mixing up in Auckland will ease the side effects of chemotherapy is something yet to be determined but my guess is that the researchers at the university who are doing the study will more than likely find a positive outcome for their generous sponsors.
For those of us with PCa, chemotherapy is often one of the final options we take if our cancer progresses so in my mind, a little ice cream at that point probably doesn't matter much in the big scheme of things. If I had a choice, I'd prefer to go out in the back yard and roll a joint with 2nd Base and smoke marijuana.

Can you get Vernors where you live? Warm Vernors on cold vanilla ice cream is the best float in the world. Root beer floats aren't even a close 2nd.0 -

Thanks for the “careful” quotation, but diet for me is low in priority. I recall that you want to die (in yours 100th) healthy. For me I want to end each day joyful. My priorities are in long walks, painting, travelling and eating tastefully everything (Med diet balanced with red-wine). Researches on prostate cancer are part of a duty I own to the many comrades of PCa forums who helped me (http://www.psa-rising.com/medicalpike/index.html).0 -

Yes that is a goal of mine to die healthy…but outside of no dairy (never really cared for milk or milk products…Have you seen where milks comes from..lol) my diet is Mediterranean based… So I think I really do enjoy my food and wine plus my wife is an actual gourmet cook…
But going back to this marijuana thing it appears that it not only gets you stoned it has great pain relief qualities and it may significantly inhibits tumor growth … http://www.cancer.org/Treatment/TreatmentsandSideEffects/ComplementaryandAlternativeMedicine/HerbsVitaminsandMinerals/marijuana?sitearea=ETO
…I think I just might move to a medical marijuana State to explore this benefit lol….0 -
Study
i remember years ago when I was in college there was a study done about the consumption of ice cream and child birth. It seemed that as the consumption of ice cream increased the rate of child birth increased and as the consumption of ice cream decreased the rate of child birth decreased. So a study was done to determine why!
It was discovered that in this northern community child birth rates were higher in the summer, so was ice cream consumption. The ice cream because it was hot and the winters were very cold which explains conception during the winter months and of course child birth in the summer.0 -
