I haven't posted for a while as both my sons were home for the Christmas holidays, and I just felt like pretending that I really don't have stage IV cancer. Am I crazy or what? Anyway, holidays were wonderful. Ate too much so I guess I'll just keep adding to the 30 lbs. I've gained since this whole cancer crap began. No one dare says anything to the cancer lady about how much weight she's gained!!!!!!!!!!!

New MRI shows 5 very small lesions in liver. Am being evaluated for possible ablation to the liver. I, amazingly, continue to feel well with very little symptoms. Liver functions, enzymes and blood work are all good. So that's something good I guess.

Am currently receiving Vectibix, hope I spelled it correctly, which is similar to erbitux. I responded quite well to the erbitux, so we'll see. It's every other week and takes an hour.

But I do want to wish all my fellow cancer buddies peace, love, and most of all health in 2011. I thank all of you for your thoughts, your hopes, and even your fears. It helps to know I am not alone. Be well everyone.

Happy New Year to you too
No you are not crazy to put cancer from your mind in order to enjoy the holidays with family and friends. We all need to do that now and again to prove to ourselves that cancer will not take everything from us.

Hope that you can get the ablation to the live to get rid of those pesky little lesions.

Take care and wish you and yours good health in 2011 too

    Treatment
Sorry to hear of the new tumors and hoping that you will be able to get that ablation to take care of it. Glad you had such a wonderful holiday. They found a tumor on me day before thanksgiving two years ago so pretending that all is well during the holidays seems to be the thing to do. It makes it easier too. Wishing you a healthy and happy new year too.

    I am glad
I am glad you had a good holiday season with your family. It is great you put cancer on the back burner. I am glad you are being evaluated for ablation for your liver mets - I hope that works out. Happy New Year!

    good!
I'm glad your holidays were good, and that you are feeling well. Praying the new med does a good job, and you tolerate it well.

    Christmas and cancer don't
Christmas and cancer don't belong in the same thoughts. Enjoying your family is what counts, and I'm glad you did. Hope this year is full of love and mircles.
