Hi!

I have a question for any women (sorry guys) who might have had radiation to their pelvis. I'm wondering (sorry about this) if a discharge that has an odor and greenish is a side effect of radiation to your pelvis? Who should i call, my gynecologist, my radiation doctor or my oncologist? I know its not right, just not sure who to call. Please help!

Thanks,
Sherrylee

    I'd start with my gyn
Gyn knows what should be happening "down there" and has had many cancer patients, and so would advise or work with your rad onc or general onc.

    Good luck!

    GYN first...
but be SURE to fill him/her in on what's happening...namely, rads to your pelvis...and your cancer...may be a different answer otherwise...

Oh, and BTW...NO subject is taboo here (well except MY age...ROFL!)...we often have discussions about sex after rads...and other such things...it's a need-to-know...

    I have information to share
I have information to share from my experience on my pelvic radiation from last summer. It was NOT a pretty ordeal!

    Doctor
Agree - call the GYN they should know what is going on. I've never experienced any discharge but I'd already gone through menopause so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. Yup, no subject is taboo here.
