Hi Lily,I'm not sure where
Hi Lily,
I'm not sure where your post went since I am new to this site. However, I am finding a hard time finding a support group for those in their 20's as well. What were you diagnosed with?
I was 26, (just turned 27 a few weeks ago) when I was diagnosed with tongue cancer in October 2010. While in the hospital I was surrounded by men 60 years of age or older and now waiting for my radiation treatments, I see everyone aged 50 and up. I know it's hard on them too, but it's just so hard to relate to them and not feel so out of place.

OMG, that is EXACTLY what I went through! I was the youngest in my treatment center and support group by like 25 years! The post I left on here was about where people our age, I'm 24, go for support b/c no one else can relate to what it's like to be 24 and sick. A great resource I found is stupidcancer.com. They are all about young adults and do a lot of fun things for people like us. Where are you from? I'm an hour from NYC by CT. Hope you're doing well and Happy New Year!! Lily0 -

Thanks for the suggested site! Actually, I am from Canada, live in Toronto, Ontario. I never really thought of looking for a site for people around where I live, but it's still great to hear perspectives from whomever. Hope you're doing well, too. Happy New Year! Hope this New Year brings us better things!
