WooHoo I finished my last Treatment
I don't post on here very often because I didn't have very many good days. I like to pop in every now and then to see how everyone is doing. Thanks everyone for being there when I needed you. You are all truly wonderful people and I thank each and everyone one of you.
Hugs to everyone

Darlene,
Congrats on finishing treatment. You will start to feel better in a couple of weeks and it only gets better. I finished in July and I'm feeling like the old me. Enjoy every moment.

importantly .. Congradulations! !!! You have offically become a Chemo Queen, and may I say you are in good company .. which includes myself. Like you and others, I endured some many side efforts, that I thought I was insane .. the chronic fatigue, insomina, blood blisters on the bottom of my feet -- dripping eyes, missing toenails - which took 8 months to grow back .. and wait for it .. my favorite .. fainting! Yes, several times a day .. sometimes while walking down our staircase from our second floor where our bedrooms are located .. several scars has provided me with many stories of laughter, along with tears when re-counting my chemo infused dazed months.
Ok .. finished TCH on 12/18/09, and 1 year of herceptin on 8/20 -- and now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel .. Chemo sucked, and was difficult on my system .. hard to imagine or explain. So my heart goes out to you, dear sweet Darlene. Take care and get plenty of rest ..
Strength and Courage

WOOOOHOOOO
Darlene,
THAT sounds so painful.... so painful that I chose a mastectomy over
radiation. I want to congratulate on your endurance and strength.
So glad it's over for you. I hope your wounds will heal soon and your
poor little body will regain its strength back.
Sending you lotsa love,

Congratulations
Hoorah on finishing Chemo! I finished on Dec. 21st. Been getting a little better every day now. Have a problem with watery eyes, dry skin around eyes. Saw Opthamologist today and he gave me Systane eye drops and Hydrocortizone 1 for the skin around the eyes. Start Rads on Jan. 18th, hoping for no side effects.
Again, congrtulations!0 -

Hi Darlene &
Hi Darlene & CONGRATULATIONS!! Finishing chemo is a huge accomplishment. Rest, rest, and rest. Your poor body has been through so much you need to let it rest now I started getting my strength and energy back about a month after my last chemo, and I feel a little better every day.
My last chemo was actually the easiest on me, but my mom had her last 2 weeks ago, taxotere, and it's been very hard on her. She also has the blisters & cracking skin on hands & feet, and elbows, and swelling in her legs & ankles. In fact, I'm waiting on a phone call from her this afternoon to tell me how her follow up appt went this morning!
Good luck with radiation, mom starts hers in a few weeks too.
*hugs back at you*

Along with most people, I suffered thru chemo with many horrible side effects and seemed to be sick most days, couldn't wait to get my taste buds back. Radiation was hard on me with lots of burned skin but it was so much easier than chemo. Worst thing was going every day for treatment and when it was over with, it was such a relief to just not have to do anything. Congrats on getting closer to the finish line and we'll be here cheering you on when you finish rads.0 -
