    Scary as it is being
Scary as it is being actually classified as Stage1V...I am glad to be in the company and surrounded by amazingly strong and beautiful women, and the men and women in their lives. It goes without saying that none of us ever wanted to find ourselves here, but I too am so honored and humbled to be in the company of all of you.

    Blessings!

    I have nothing but
I have nothing but admiration for the ladies that are Stage IV. I don't know how I would deal with this diagnosis and I hope I never find out but I do know that I have seen how so many of you have faced this with courage and strength and grace. I hope that I would be able to do the same. My prayer is that your cancers are held at bay for a long, long time.

A spot no one ever dreamed of being in...
But the sisters here accept it with a grace and strength that boggles the mind!

If I should find myself walking in their footsteps, I hope that I can fight as hard as this set of warriors do!

I raise my glass, my heart is full!

    Hugs, Kathi

In celebration of these amazing ladies
I would like to say that I have never seen more courage and heart on display in the
face of adversity. I really look up to them and hope to fill those big shoes, should I
    be in their situation.

Such grace and devotion to others that need their help, is beyond words.

    Love you all,
    Ayse

    stage IV
Stage IV is scary. Everytime I go to the Dr and see my file it reads stage IV it still, almost 2 years later, seems unreal, like its not me. I get scared alot and if I feel the smallest lump or bump anywhere or have a headache or body ache I get scared all over again. I'm in it for the fight, determined to beat the beast and win this war!!!!!!!! I plan to be here to see my 10 year old graduate, go to college, get married, have children and see those children become adults & to see my granddaughters do the same!!! My grandmother is 94 so I have hope :)

    Stage 4
Stage 4 is scary but it doesn't have to define who you are. I am still a wife, mother, sister, daughter, cousin etc. I get up every day and get on with my life. I live with stage 4 but it is not on my mind 24/7. I have a CT scan on the 6th, that scares me more than the disease. Thanks for your support New Flower you are also an inspiration and are always encouraging everyone with your positive thoughts and advice. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

    New Flower is so right.

I know that I have learned so much about myself based on how other Survivors/Warriors live their lives. We all have a common thread that binds us together. It's an incredible tapestry of love, strength, and courage. I raise a glass of water to toast all my Strong Beautiful Sisters! Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger has nothing on us!

    Happy New Year, God bless.

what wonderful words you spoke for all of us. I admire the strength, courage and input these women have shown us through their continued posting on this site. They are here for us as much as we are here for them. And, it is true that none of us are defined by bc - we are all sisters with a common goal. I too feel blessed knowing that something someone wrote helped me through my journey.

    Excellent point, Char!
Like everyone else here, both Moopy and I are awed by the strength and the courage shown by our Stage IV survivors, every minute of every day.

But I especially want to mention the input these brave warriors are good enough to share with us, especially in cases where people are afraid that they might become Stage IV themselves. I can't even count the number of times in the last 72 hours that one or another of our Kindred Spirits who is Stage IV has shared her experience, her confidence, and her prayers. We have been incredibly lifted up by everybody during these troubling times. Still, Char's post reminded me of how gracious it is of our Stage IV survivors to be looking out for us, especially when it would be so easy and so understandably human for them to... well, not be so gracious.

So I thank you and bless you and pray for only the best for each and every one of these special Kindred Spirits. And I know Moopy does too.

    Love,
    Joe

I have such sadness in my heart after just learning about Heidi and I know that you and Moopy are still wondering what's happening with her own test results. My heart goes out to both of you too and know that all that you share with us helps all of us in one way or another. Thanks.

You are right, they are an amazing group of women and I challenge myself to handle my problems with just a smidgen of the grace they handle theirs. I'm sure I would have a meltdown :) But you too are a blessing to us and teach the same bravery, courage and grace. Pease don't forget what a bright light you are and how many people are lifted by your words and spirit.

New Flower you are such a dear, thank you! I was classified stage four in 98 so yes there can be life after hearing that you are a stage four. I agree it felt like the wind had been sucked out of the world, but life continues. I have learned much and gained much from all the folks who come here, I only hope that I have also given a little. It is my desire to give hope to others who find them selves hearing that they have cancer, we can live with it and we can have quality of life. Okay I am babbling, I love you all!

Thank you everyone for your responses. Yes, we all are together here fighting and helping each other to win this battle and be happy and healthy for many years to come.
Special thanks to Claudia, Libby, Terry, Marsha and Rena for your sincere and and inspiring words.

As for me, I will continue to grow and bloom proving my name despite minor SEs oncologist would never tells us about.
I got my blood test results today. My CA 27 29 (biomarkers) 18.

    Happy New Year!!!

me thru the day. I find inspiration from each and every Warrior .. who post on our boards. I truly appreciate the time and effort everyone gives of themselves and lives.

I so appreciate all you Kindered Spirits that have stay strong within our breast cancer site ..never leaving any Warrior - even the newbie's .. alone, or afraid. It is normal, even easy for many of us to finish surgeries or treatments and slowly fade out of this network, however, it takes such a special, caring and insightful person to continue helping others.
