Still Running the Race into 2011

As 2010 comes to an end and before us is a brand New Year 2011 I would like to encourage those of you who are still running the race and looking forward to the finish line. It is my hopes, my prayers and my wishes that each of you will find peace and healing as you continue through your treatments.

Remember Cancer does suck that we all agree, but there is life after cancer and good life. Things will be different then before but that is what we call our New Normal.

Three times NPC Cancer; still here and planning on staying right here

    Well put, Hondo! We're still running the race here (and right now it's one small step at a time), but like everyone else here, we're in it to win it! And here at our house we were never really "normal" anyway, so here's to the new "Abby-Normal" (love Young Frankenstein) in 2011......

    Thank you to you and to all of you for your support and information......you've made an overwhelming last 9 weeks much more "whelming"!

    Well said Hondo! I have been de-ported last week, and am looking forward to 2011 with much hope and a whole bunch of faith in my heart. I have overcome hurdles in 2010 which I could never have done without this forum, these people, my faith in a healing God, and hope for the future. Going through this journey has given me more strength then I could ever imagine, and I kind of like my "new normal". God Bless you Hondo! You are amazing!

    Thank you for the uplifting message! I am lying in bed feeling like crap but it is only a cold & flu! At least I don't seem to panick over the little illnesses anymore. Taking it day by day!

    well put Hondo!
    I am hoping to be running across another finish line in a few months. I am planning to run in my first 5K in celebration of overcoming cancer (hopefully the run will be in april or may). I hope to have my first post treatment scan at the same time...two finish lines crossed by the middle of the year sounds really good to me!
    Here's to adjusting to a new normal, and following those dreams we have been putting off for some time in the future!

    I saw my post on a regular computer. :( The happy new year is awesome on an iPhone. Looks like fireworks. Regular computer, notsomuch. Glad the tree came out okay. Lol

    I don't know about 2012, isn't that the end of the Mayan calendar and alleged prophetic gloom and doom for 12/21/12? Lol. Best live up 2011!! :-)
