As you all know I have my Colonoscopy yesterday. Everything was fine.. NO CANCER OR ANYTHING ELSE> But the really good news is that I was telling the GI doc about my diarrhea problems and extreem cramping after I eat anything. He told me T call my primary doctor and ask if he'll try butting me on "QUESTRAN". My wife looked on the internet and is very excited that this just my work for me. Has anybody alse been on this? And if you're like me cramping and pooping many many times a day you might want to learn more about this drug.

Love ya
Brooks

    Hi Brooks
I had questran in conjunction with a statin for cholesterol control. Apparently the cholesterol in food binds to the questran fibre and goes thru the system instead of into the blood. It caused me a lot of discomfort as I had serious ulceration from high dose prednisone. It did give me constipation tho. The best drug I had for the diarrhea was buscopan (also sold as donnatabs)it was an anti-spasmodic and settled my gut down . All the best Ron.

    Glad your colonoscopy went
Glad your colonoscopy went great. Just wanted you to know I hope the new drug helps you. I know how frustrating the bathroom thing is. And I'm pretty sure you have tried this already, but what about something like benefiber. After my reversal my surgeon had me taking it to bulk things up. I was going soo much and having so much pain in the beginning. It did help me. But the Dr wanted it to be the powder you add to water or whatever you choose (it is tasteless) and not the chewables. Good luck with the Questran.

    Brooks,

Damn I sure wish you had my super doc slice and dice you. Lomotil did the job for me in the first few weeks. Never used more then 6 per day. I never had any crapping at all. I have learned that corn flakes mess me up. I think it is the damn milk. My good old greasy bacon and eggs do great for breakfast any way.

The scary old woman also got me on Probiotics. I have to admit that they have helped. With her 14 years of dealing with crohns, she knows a lot about crapping. How to turn it on and off.

May a good poop day come your way.

Kerry (old coot that thinks of you as a buddy) In fact I am sending you by PM all my data to make you my site buddy.
