Early Xmas present

Well, quite a few of us got an early Xmas present this year. We heard the magic word REMISSION. There are still a few more that will hear that same word in about a month. Then a few more that are working hard on it and their gift will be the same. All of you have really helped me thru this diagnoses that I got back in May of this year. I don't know what I would have done without the help and encouraging words from each and every one of you. As you all know it was a terrible shock to hear what we heard from the Dr. when he or she told us our diagnoses. Words can't express what went thru our heads and hearts. We can all think back and remember it so well. We have all made great strides in the fight with this monster. There have been setbacks for some but they are coming back to keep fighting and they will win. We have joked a lot on here ,but at the same time tryed to keep everything in focus with the straight and norrow. We knew what we were facing, but kept each other on an upbeat note. Now as the year draws near and the new year starts we will continue to do the same . Together we can and will beat this monster. Now if that ain't family I don't know what is. Merry Xmas and a Happy new year to my family. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)

    Hi Joanie
Thank you Joanie for your very kind words. It really warmed my heart this morning to hear I had been a help to you during your treatments. You are a true treasure and inspiration to many people here on the CSN. May the New Year be filled with much health and happiness.
    Blessings,
    Leslie

    Thank you, John!
You were one of the first to reassure me about stuff when I came on board here. That was when I decided this is good for me. I am forever grateful that you are part of our network and that also for others here that we are tight knit and that is a powerful and supportive online group. I was afraid that you would leave right away when you said you are in remission but you stayed on-

    Thanks so much, John.

    Happy New Year,
    Liz

I THINK I WILL STICK AROUND.
    Liz,
I have noticed a lot of people that were here when I first came aboard are no longer posting. I guess there are a number of reasons. Lifes adventures are sometimes complicated with other things. There were a few that helped me when I first posted back in early June and I am so grateful for that. I know I was feeling lost and didn't know really what to do. Those people helped me thru this. I try to return that favor by trying to reassure new members that what they have is not a death sentence. All they really know is they heard the word"CANCER" and relate it to the worse. I know I did. Its quite a jolt to hear that diagnosis. Sometimes when a person goes into remission it is hard to find something to post after that. So I just read the post of other members, new and old and jump in when I can. Happy New Year. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)REMISSION

    Me too
I am going to stick around as long as I can and if I go back to work with 2 jobs like before - I would just work this into my schedule - I am not the same person I was so I will not forget this network and give something back to reassure others about "monster" stuff! I am so glad 2010 is behind me!! HNY~ Liz (HL4-8/10, REMISSION)
