does anyone feel sad today
I hate when the holidays are over....don't be silly girl....you will get back on track and start walking and working out and skiing.....it's just that blip when she is gone and cancer walks back through the door.

I am sending you this hug from thousands of miles away and I hope it reaches you.
I think after the holidays is a hard time for many of us. All three girls in our family, me, and our two daughters (13 and 16) were in tears yesterday. Of course as the mommy I had to keep it to myself but boy did those girls let it all hang out.
Both girls were up early for some weird reason (5:15 and it is my week to sleep in) and now they are back asleep and I am wide awake.
I am going to dig deep, pray, breath and then start moving. I'll think of you skiing and working out when I ride my bike today. We can do this together!

final results of the treatment ! also got an small ulcer which, in spite that has nothing to do with cancer makes me and remain about it all the time!
How can we cheer up?.

not a good day for me, my brother as we speak is getting his second brain operation they don't know if the cancer is back or not i am praying that it is scare tissue he has gmb stage4 I am still waiting to hear from his wife

when my daughter left for university about 10 years ago I could not go into her room without the tears spilling. this is a minor blip....and her fiance is wonderful. They are so happy together....they charged out of here this morning as happy as clams
I think as I age that I enjoy the energy of youth even more. Having them around is just fun. We went to the movie the re-make of True Grit.....really really a great movie...

Sadness won't last
I am sure that the sadness you feel will pass as the days go by. Yes there is a certain let down after the holidays are gone. With that said we still have New Years to look forward to and 2011 in which I pray will be so much better than 2010. The ONLY good thing about 2010 was the birth of my son. I hope 2011 brings great joy to all of us.

Your daughter sounds lovely. Especially so if she can make cancer go away, even temporarily. You are right, you will get back on track. You have New Year's to look forward to - are you doing anything special? And your daughter's wedding. Come + visit me sometime....0 -

holidays officailly over for me as my mom went back to missouri today after visiting since christmas. i had to hug her goodbye early this morning as this was my chemo day. i have been busy and distracted since thanksgiving week but able to think now. reality bites.

no nothing special for new Year....truth be told I really don't like New Year....too much hoopla for this old girl.....I do not think I have made it until midnight for many years....we are out for dinner with 2 other couples with a pact to be packed up by 10 and home

We are staying home + having a quiet night. I have always enjoyed this the best; sometimes with a few close friends, sometimes just us. We usually try to cook something special. We were invited to a friends for a dinner party, but opted not to do it. For me it is really important to spend New Years Eve with people I love. And I absolutely hate it when people get drunk + silly - New Years Eve seems to be an excuse for that. Just give me a good meal + a nice glass of wine.0 -

Oh Mags you are so sweet i wish for better and happier times for you in the new year i'm sending lots of hugs your way .as for me i'm feeling a little sad today i have to boys that i foster but the boys have a little sister and a little brother in a other foster home and that foster home cant keep them now the 2 little kids need to go to a new home you see its hard for me because i had them for a year before they went home .they were home for 4 months and then they all came back in care .so i'm feeling bad that i cant take them . sooo lots of hugs mag0 -

oh Tina that is so hard....it must really be difficult for you not being able to take the kids....I cannot even imagine how hard fostering must be......good for you for doing that. Before I retired I worked as a teacher and I know how important good foster care is to a child.....

Feeling Let Down
There are days when all day that feeling is with me. It's not that something happened, it's just that blue feeling. Now that Christmas is over and all the hype has quieted down, it's kind of like it's over until next year. Love my Christmas decorations so always leave them up until week after New Year. Hope tomorrow you wake with a smile on your face.

It was not my usual holiday season. I was very tired and slept most of Sunday away, I stayed in bed until Monday. Hope next year I'm back...and that I am here. Dang Cancer!0
