gastroscopy/endoscope
The day I was diagnosed with 3b colon cancer I also had gastroscope/endoscope12/08. They biopsied irritation then and just had another in Oct which was biopsied, not an ulcer but ulceration which was biopsied. I took folfox chemo thru 7 sessions and never really had a problem, but I had a prescription for nexium which I still take. Went back to gastro for uncomfortable feeling in stomach area end of November, now take a dicyclomine which was to ease diviticui in colon which I have lots of. It has helped somewhat and I have to trust that is the problem since I did have an ok c scan in Oct and a colonoscopy also. So the ulceration did not bother me thru chemo, but I am having some issues, 20 mos after chemo. Don't know if that helps, but good luck, hope you feel better, it is a just something else to add to the mix.....Pat0 -

Ouch
I've not had it, but it sounds painful. Hope they can remedy this soon for you and hoping that the chemo doesn't make it worse. I'm not even sure how they treat those. Malox or something like that. Good luck.

which was negative. I have the surgical pathology report right here, so I spelled it right. And Pepe you are right the gastroscopy which what I had too is a piece of cake. We usual have them on same day as colonoscopy, but when it is by itself, no prep....and I just love my fentanyl 100, versed 4mg IV. All spelled right, since I am looking at the report.I don't get a lot of reflux, but I guess my Type A personality and the little stress we all live with is doing its dance.....my diagnoisis shows mild gastritis, but I still have some stomach issues, hence the little blue pill..along the the purple nexium pill.Pat0 -

If it comes from H pylori, treatment are antibiotics, if other cause just omeoprazol and patience , it seems that lately the don't recommend any special
diet, ( of course have to be a little carefully but not dramatically ).So tomorrow we will see!.
