thanks and hugs
I'm doing ok because I know he's in a place where he is safe. Things are getting done, and he's not in pain. Praise the Lord for pain meds!
However the next time I'm told "visiting hours are over. Have a good night," someone is getting told to go blank themselves.
Things still suck, but progress in any direction makes me feel better.

I'm doing okay, too. Lots of bodily fluid stories to share at a later date, suffice it to say we didn't get a lot of sleep last night.
This morning I got him into the shower, helped him dress in his new Christmas P.J.'s, and am sitting at his bedside while he sleeps watching big fat flurries swirl around outside. (Yes, April, Praising the Lord for pain meds and compazine for nausea!!!)
He's less confused today, so there's my progress, too.
Happy thoughts right back atcha! : )0 -

Penny,
Just wondering how the rest of the day went? Sorry to hear the night wasn't so good. Not the most fun way to spend Christmas, but would love to see Mike in his Christmas pj's!! Did you have any family with you? Hope so, it's so hard sitting alone cause there's way too much time to think. Well, hope things get a little better today. Keep us posted. "Carole"0 -

My kids had planned to "surprise" me by driving up today, but the weather isn't going to let that happen. Got a text from a friend in Jax saying even they were getting freezing rain. It's been a lonely last couple of days.Thank God I brought a jar of instant coffee, a loaf of Wonder Bread, and PB&J, cause even the VA cafeteria is closed today.
I'm mighty glad Christmas is over. Now just waiting on New Years, which also is Mikes birthday. Since he's going to be in the hospital for his birthday as well, I bought him Bday PJ's with Marvel Superheros on them. Maybe I'll take a picture of them change my avatar next week.
