Prayers coming your way!!
Reba,
I will be praying that Don's heart stabilizes and he is home for Christmas. Good to hear the surgery went well and he is healing. We will pray that God helps him stabilize and he is on his way home soon.
Best Regards,
Paul Adams,

Thanks Paul. It is so helpful to hear from so many people who have gone through this surgery. Sometimes, I get depressed, but then I remember that God is with us. Thanks and keep praying.

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. Don is home from the hospital as of yesterday. Today he has slept most of the day. We had to go see our Dr for blood draw and he is exhausted. He is eating some, but I worry that he is not drinking enough. He is having an Ensure right now as I write. I cling to that verse in Romans too. I don't think I could go through this if I didn't have my Savior Jesus Christ.

Don does not have a feeding tube. Dr worked a long time to put one in, but he had so much scar tissue from his Colon Cancer surgery 12 years ago that he did not want to keep him on the table any longer. He was in surgery 11 hours. While in the hospital he was given IV nutrition as well as eating liquids by mouth. Now he is eating liquids only and next week he will advance to a soft diet. He has no appetite so I worry that he is not getting enough. We go back to Surgeon the 13th. We are going to our Primary Care Dr now for blood work. He also still has drainage from where the chest tube was.
