Best Christmas Gift
Sorry that I have not had time to read the posts since I got back from Houston. But I wanted to let you all know that my onc at MD Anderson told us that I AM IN REMISSION!!!!
He said that I still have several masses in various places, but that nothing is active. All I have to do is go down for full testing every 3 months to watch for refractory disease -- but, for now, the cancer is gone!
Thanks to everyone for your help and support.
I'll get back to the Board a little later.
Hope you all have a great Christmas.

Wonderful!!!!
Hi Tom,
Excellent news! Let the healing begin..physically and mentally! Makes Christmas just that much more special this year! From Yakima Washington to Grapevine Texas I'm sending you one great big Christmas hug! We got another 4 to 6 inches of snow last night and expecting more, so it looks like we will be having a white snowy Christmas, which always makes me soooo happy! Nothin better than a warm fire and snow on the ground at Christmas to put a big old smile on my face! :0) Much love to you...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0 -

Hi Tom,
We have had a houseful since yesterday at 4:00. All the kids spent the night, we watched movies, played games and ate wayyyy too much food. Everyone went to bed around 11:00 and slept like babies. We all got up this morning and made blueberry pancakes, sausage and eggs and now they have all left to go to extended family. The quiet in the house is weird after all of the noise...ha! Enjoy your day with family. Merry Christmas!

Oh, Tom, Congratulations!
That is wonderful! I remember in the beginning you were really down and were having questions like I also was and now we both turned ourselves around with good news. Hope by now your neuropathy is improving. I just had the chemo today then 2 more just to be sure I am totally clean. Huh! So I still feel neuropathic effects and feel them more now. But newer effects now are my taste and smell. I smell like there is some kind of smoke sometimes when there is not such around and for taste, I could not stand sweet things and some foods taste different. Interesting - anyway, we surely look forward to get all this behind us in 2011!!
Have a very pleasant New Year and thanks for sharing and for your support,
