a bit nervous as well
"day by day" advice is spot on.
I am a bit worried sometimes, at what maybe be in store in our futures.
I can feel some new toe tingles as I type. The oxaly must be working. Oh great.
I peak into the future and quickly close my eyes. I should not do this.
Gail today is all we have , do NOT sweat tomorrow or the future. It will come fast enough for us all. Strangely I believe thinking about the future brings it on faster and actually rob you of a quality life today.
a giant asteriod may hit the earth and cancer won't be the big issue any more.
just live in the NOW and if we get stuck with tricky side effects get help and be brave girl. I bet your heart is bursting with joy about your family and kids comings.
Just love them to bits, even if you are sick. If you sick to pretent, they deserve the truth about how you are going.
love and merry Xmas Pete0 -
minimal side effects
I used to pray for "minimal side effects with maximum effects" each time I went in for chemo (here's my reminder to myself to continue to do that!)
I'm getting my chemo today too & am hoping and praying I won't feel sick over Christmas- so I will pray that for you too.
I know it's really hard to gear up each time. I've gotten to the point where I don't have to "gear up" each time- it's just my routine now.
I hope that it won't have to become your regular routine forever, but just envision the chemo squeezing the life out of the cancer cells as you sit there getting it pushed into your body. There's a fight going on inside you!
Hugs to you dear & may you have a blessed Christmas with your family and friends!

Treatment
Hoping that your treatment goes well today and your side effects are minimal. Just think and look forward to your son coming in from out of town and having Christmas with your kids. Wishing you a wonderful time with them.

If you get the nulesta shot (however they spell that) maybe you can skip a week. I only got the shot every other week towards the end of chemo. I didn't like the way it made me feel. Keep it simple!
If you need something I am only an hour away! If you don't want to cook on Saturday, jump in the car and come visit the big family gathering!0 -
Good luck Gail
Try to break things down into small projects and do them a little at a time with some breaks in between. I found that I get much more done that way and hold up better rather than just trying to go like the energizer bunny. I will be wishing you the happeist of a weekend holiday!0 -
Happy Holidays
Concentrating on family and the joy of the season will get you thru this rough period.
Remember to rest and enjoy the moment. You are in my prayers.
Hugs
