CA 125 up

I am feeling very, very down. Mom's numbers have gone from 3000+ to 4,118 from her 5th chemo to the 6th. Her CT scan on November 22nd showed that the tumor did not shrink but it did not grow either.
Mom's oncologist called today and is frantically trying to get Mom in a clinical trial asap. She feels her current chemo is no longer working. I wish this whole thing would just go away.

    I hope the next treatment that they give her will be the "one" to knock the cancer on it's behind !

    There will be a chemo suited to your mum
    I am very sorry to read your post. However I've just had to come off Doxil because it wasn't working for me (I got fluid build up around my lung) so they have put me back onto Carbo/taxol. Now I'm on carbo/taxol I can tell the fluid is slowly going ........ so the chemo is working. What I am trying to say is that some chemos may not suit your mum but there will be one out there that does ........... its just a matter of finding the right one. I hope things work out OK for her.

    Tina is right.
    This chemo may not be working as well as it could , but I am sure her onc will find one that will kick the beast into touch, thinking of you and your mum ((hugs)) xxxxxx
