Please Pray for my Father
My father's last chemo was last Tuesday. He will need to take a break from it as to not do more harm than good. And depending on the scan results, it could be the end of the medical road for him. That is a very scary thought, especially since he's feeling well, looking well and is still strong. To think we'd have to throw in the towel right know would be heartbreaking.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I will continue to pray for all on this board as we all walk this journey with our families as well as with each other. You all are an amazing group of people!! Stay strong and keep the faith!!
Blessings,
Sally

Prayers coming your way!!
Sally,
I know it is difficult to wait for the results of the scan. I hope they will be giving you the results the same day.
We will be praying that the results are what you and your Dad are hoping for.

Good Scan Results!
Praise the Lord! My father's scans came back "unchanged"! So...the chemo is keeping everything stable! No new spots found anywhere and some spots where smaller than the last scan results!
Pray that while he takes a break from chemo that it won't act up too fast, or preferably, at all! He's doing so well and it's so scary to think that things could head south while on his break!
Blessings,

Sally, I am so happy to hear about your dad! This is an answer to prayer and can give you and your mother much needed relief. Remember that chemo stays in there working for some time even though he isn't getting it. It is amazing your dad is still able to work.
God Bless,

Thank You All
for your prayers and well wishes. He will be on break from chemo until Jan. 11th, then they'll do more scans and see where things stand.
We've been truly blessed up to this point. He is 9 months out from the time he was diagnosed and is doing so well. He's actually better than he was when he was first diagnosed. He's gained weight, looks better and is having no problems eating or swallowing. He's literally the walking miracle man. I hope it continues, but know that it won't last forever. I'm just enjoying and rejoicing in his good health and company as long as he's around. And ever so grateful he will be well for Christmas.
It's funny...I was looking back on my journal from March when he was first diagnosed. I wrote that I doubted he will be with us for Christmas. Glad I was wrong!!! Me of little faith!
Blessings,
Sally0
