This is same drug as Doxil
This is same drug as Doxil and if you use search feature here on site you will find much info on it, side effects, precautions, etc. Quite a few here have been or are on it. A foot/hand syndrome is most common concern with this chemo.
Hope it helps with your Mom.

Doxil
I had my first doxil infusion just over 2 weeks ago. I am also getting an experimental drug called amg 386. I wanted to tell you that already I am improved. My tumor has been pressing hard on my bladder, making me feel an urgency to 'go' all the time. That doesn't sound so bad but let me tell you, after several consecutive days like that it's awful. And it's been about 2 months I've been feeling like this. But I noticed on friday that feeling is greatly lessened, and today it's even better. So I figure something is working and working well, the tumor *must* be shrinking for me to be feeling so normal.
Here's hoping it works just as well or better for you!0
