Meltdown Cure

I was having a meltdown today. I had to get out, so my best friend and I did a little Christmas shopping even though my heart wasn't really in it and then we went to Andy's. It's a burger & shake place that plays 50's & 60's music - mostly 50's. We stayed there about two hours and I felt so much better listening to the music. It brought me back to a time when things were simple and happy. When I came home my husband had his stereo on loud playing a Patsy Cline CD. Even though some of the songs are sad they were strangely comforting. Sometimes when I'm stressed or depressed at work I play my Mama Mia CD and that makes me happy. Drugs are great but today music did it for me.

Anyone else find that music truly soothes the soul?

YesM my mom was dxd in May. I started listening to Xmas music in Oct. It is so peaceful and optimistic. It relaxed me.

    Disco!
Frivolous and ridiculous 70's disco music always lightens my mood. ABBA, Earth Wind and Fire, KC and the Sunshine Band. Great to clean the house to!
