Well, just got back from Mayo Rochester, and a date was set for my MIE. Dec.20th, with Dr. Wigle. I found out I'm staged at 1T, found by accident very early.
Does anybody have any info on what I can expect, or what to ask for?

Thank You

    Welcome
Welcome Lee to our loving, caring, ec family. I was a caregiver for my dad. He passed away from stage IV, inoperable ec which went to his liver on March 9, 2010. You have to consider yourself lucky for two reasons. One, you caught it early. Two, you can have the surgery. MIE is the best surgery to have, Surgery is the best way to survive this type of cancer. You will meet many many EC survivors here. I will be thinking and praying for you on Dec 20th. Keep us up to date.

    Great News..........
Sounds like everything went well for you Lee, I'm sure you will do great and I will pray for you. I am just curious as to how you found the Stage 1 by accident. Mine was at stage 2 and I think I was lucky to discover mine early. My local doctor sent me to do a scope as I had trouble with food lodging a few times. Stay positive and keep us informed.

    We were eliminating things
We were eliminating things for my cardiac problem, chest pressure (constant) and all of a sudden pain when swallowing. Pain that expanded at times to my whole breast area and continuing to pain in my back by my shoulder blades.
I wish the doctors would tell you everything about the post surgery things that I will have to go thru. After reading some things I don't know if I can do it. Or, if the symptoms I'm having now are something else. Nauseous, lightheadedness, muscles seem to feel weak, blurred vision this morning. Not sure.
