My favorite Christmas song is The Drummer Boy. Every time I listen to it, I get choked up. I breath deeper while it is being played. It's like I am breathing it into my body. No song has ever effected me that way.

OOOOOOOOPS - i just posted below. I don't know my titles of songs. It is not Drummer Boy. It is DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR --- this is the one that moves me.

    Hard to pick just one
I have a hard time choosing just one! I think Hark the Herald Angels would be it though. I love several but this was my Daddys favorite and even though he has been gone 15 yrs. it still makes me think of him. O Holy Night and Do You Hear what I Hear are great too. The list just goes on and on! Great topic, thanks. God Bless

    Linus and Lucy
Hands down, "Linus and Lucy," the theme from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I have the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack, and it's always the first CD I put in my player on December 1st, to get myself in the Christmas mood.

I love O Holy Night! My daughter loves it too. We fight (jokingly) over who gets to "own" it. I also have the Charlie Brown tunes as they bring back so many memories. I love to watch it on tv as it remindsme of the anticipation of that once a year show that we couldnt miss!

I have to say, that after
I have to say, that after years of working retail for 50-60 hours a week and all of those hours filled with a variety of Christmas music...I am just getting to the point where I can occasionally listen to it at home.

But my favorites are the classics...Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, etc. (makes me sound older than I am.)

    Merry Christmas everyone!

    Oh Holy Night
especially the version by Michael Crawford. When he hits the most dramatic note in the song--I always start to cry, it is so beautiful. Many have tried this song--Josh Grobin comes close, but no one's version is better than Michael Crawford. Plus, it's my 86-year-old mom's favorite and she's MY favorite!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannekuh, Happy Kwanza!

    Hugs, Renee

    Have Yourself A Merry Little
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is one of favs. I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day is probably my most favorite. And there is an old song called Scarlet Ribbons that always brought tears to my eyes. I don't think it is played much now but when I was young it was and it made me think about the miracles of the season. For happy songs, I love Up On the Housetop. Actually I love them all. I'm greedy that way.

    Carol of the Bells,
Oh Holy Night and the Hallelujah Chorus. When I was in choir back in High School, there was nothing like belting out those beautiful Christmas Carols at the Malls and retirements centers. It was a blast and sure put you in the Christmas spirit!
