Back pain from surgery

I was woundering if anybody has any pain in the lower right shoulder(around the wing bone) where the cut was made from the surgery on the back?I had my surgery back in July 2006 and the pain never went away! Thanks Ohm

    Ohm,

    I had Ivor Lewis surgery about one year ago (December 2009). I still have pain below my right shoulder blade from time to time; particularly if I have been walking a long way, or if I am doing something strenuous. My surgeon assures me this is normal and will improve with time. Sounds like from your comments that it does not always improve with time.

    I have talked to other Ivor Lewis survivors who have similar experience.

    Thanks,William and Paul for your time and advice,and yes i had the ivor lewis surgery and the cut on my back is where my problem lies.Yes I have been to all my follow up app.and the DR. tells me the my pain happens to about 5% of patients and that it may not ever go away!after 4 1/2 yrs.looks like he might be wright.Im still working on the problem starting from scrach again, had another ct scan today and going to try acupuncture next,see where that goes?Other then that everything is all good with me!OYA William (WOUNDERING)was just a typeover from my great expert typing SKILLS!
