When one of us does not post-Buddy list

When one of us does not post for awhile, have you noticed the frenzy that starts? You are a part of my family and not knowing if you are all right can drive me and others crazy! I know that we are all strangers at the other end of a keyboard, but then again, not really. Here is a thought, what if we "buddy up" with one person and if you have to take a break, get sick, or just cannot come here for a while, your buddy can let us all know that you are OK. nothing more, no info needs to be given, other than the words "all is fine".
Any thoughts on this? you can let your buddy know here by a pm, you can share your phone number, what ever you are comfortable with. And if you don't want to then that is fine too. I know that some of us have become Facebook friends and that is helpful, but some don't want this site to colide with that area either.

    we have the same concept in scuba diving which is my passion.
    now I will have to find a buddy.

    I think that's a great idea. I'm rather new here and sometimes I feel like I want to post but don't. Don't ask me why. I have gotten so much from this site and I feel like I know everybody from reading the posts. I started my chemo last Tuesday and didn't feel well for a few days but I checked the site out. I think your idea will work fine.

    Thanks Kathy it would be an honour to be you buddy. Your idea is great.
    As we are buddies could you
    checkout my post which is also a bit of an idea post and help the snowball gain monentum.
    I feel shameless about asking for support but some ideas like mine need alot of help to get off the ground. If you ever want to talk just message me. Maybe we could even make a skype call one day. It would be funny to actually talk to someone on this great board.

    its ok I am off to sleep its 2am here
    Kathy, I love your xmas tree, we have to decorate our soon.

    I have to goto to sleep. its my chemo day tomorrow.
    I will have an icecream now as I won't for the next few days.
    At least I know they are really giving me the oxali as I can tick off the side effects.

    just post away your worries and share your great ideas
    whats the point of having great ideas or worries if you don't share them.
    at least we will understand.

    I start my chemo tomorrow which is Tuesday here.
    what a small world, we get our chemo on the same day. what delicious cocktail does your
    onc serve you ? I get some oxali and 5fu with a dash of leucovorin mixed with water and salt. Tomorrow I will ask for some lemon as well and maybe pepper.

    I am pretending the chemo is something pleasant like a cocktail. sorry but my humour is
    being effected by the beast.

    Sometimes I dont feel like getting on here daily. Some of its busy, some of its just need a break from cancer talk. I get uplifted (mainly) as well as brung down from it.

    Pete, I had to leave this morning for a while and missed your post. Yes, you're right! I promise to post.

    How long have you been on chemo? I'm on the same "cocktail" as you but without the leucovorin. I get mine sweetened with sugarwater. Afterall, mine is a lady's "cocktail".

    I viewed your T.V. interview a few days ago and was very impressed. Good for you, that's great!

    Good luck tomorrow. You'll be in my prayers. I start again next Tues. :(
