Having the cookie party is a great way to remember him, but not make it an overwhelmingly sad time for the other kids. Blessings to all of you.
*hugs*

Thank you for sharing our day with us!!
I'm making some comfort food to stay busy, Northern beans with a ham bone, collard greens and corn bread! Yum!
Listening to Christmas music, can't wait to play the chipmunk music for the kids...
If you seen balloons in the air, they are Baby Js! :-)0 -
How Very Sad
My heart goes out to you. This is a celebration of his life but still so sad. Keeping him in my thoughts and prayers.

The loss
We never had balloons or cakes. I never saw him go.
The heartache never leaves.
In October he would have been 31.
The only celebration,
Ten years after his death I could afford a grave marker.
I placed it, with my two living children watching.
The mourning never stops, though it eases with time.
I will see him again someday.
I was never able to hold him before he took his last breath.
But someday I will.
In other words, I can say I feel the pain, and understand, and feel sorrow at his death, but happiness that you could hold him dear, talk to him words he never understood, but between you developed a bond that shall never be broken, shall carry you on.

Thank you all...we had a great time and the kids loved it! Not all the photos of uploaded but, the cookies were great and very creative.
this very celebration. Rather than mourn, I love the idea of celebrating life! It's just so wrong when children die.
