Dads Birthday.

It will and is a hard day. Just last year he was getting ready for surgery. He couldnt have cake but he could have ice cream cake. So we all gathered around for some ice cream and celebrated and wished happy and successful surgery and for a better 2010. come to find out he did great with chemo but then ended up in the hospital with a gastro fistula that went untreated and caused him to die. So sad. But they say god only takes the best. I truly believe that too.

Today we will be remembering him. We will set balloons go in his honor with a message on them from each and everyone of us even the kids. We will watch them fly away and remember something special about him. Happy thoughts.

God bless,
Tina

    Hi Tina,
I'm sure it will be a hard day today. But I think it's a neat idea with the baloons. These 1st days without our loved ones is always hard as I'm finding out. I lost my husband in March, so I'm really having a rough time too, especially with the holidays. Hopefully it'll get better, even though we'll never forget the times we had with them. Take care!! Hello
Hello. I am sorry for your loss and I know how painful it is. The first everything without them.. bday, holidays, anniv., the little traditions you shared, the places they liked to go. I lost my mother last year to uterine cancer. It's still hard to believe that she's gone. This was the second Thanksgiving without her, it will be the second xmas and NY without her. her wonderful cookies. Dec. 1st would have been my FIL's 87th bday. He passed away this June, heart attack so this year will be especially painful. Take heart, it will get better. In the meantime, remember him with joy and love. I agree wholeheartedly, God takes the best, too soon.
